Celebrate Recovery® is a Christ-centered program that helps us deal with life’s “hurts, hang-ups, and habits.” The purpose of CR@NBCC is to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the Eight Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes and the Christ-Centered 12 Steps as we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

Celebrate Recovery® is for anyone who has a hurt, hang-up, or habit. It is not restricted to people struggling with an addiction. We all have issues that may be interfering with our fellowship with God and others. Therefore, we all qualify! Join us as we pursue real life in Jesus Christ and celebrate the recovery only He can bring through His people and His Word.

CR@NBCC  began on March 4, 2013. We meet every Monday night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Filling Station at North Boulevard Church of Christ, 1112 N. Rutherford Blvd., Murfreesboro. Please look over this site and learn all you can about Celebrate Recovery. We pray that the Lord will use CR@NBCC as one of His many ways of drawing people to Him so that they can be healed of their hurts, hangups, and habits and then share that healing with others.

What do you believe about Celebrate Recovery®? Below are 2 common myths about the program:

Myth #1:  Celebrate Recovery® is only for alcoholics and drug addicts.

Truth:  Celebrate Recovery® is for anyone with hurts, hangups, and habits. While we welcome those who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, the program is just as helpful for those who struggle in other areas. These areas include anger, co-dependency, food addiction, sexual addiction, and more.  (See our Definitions of Sobriety for a more comprehensive list.) Our ministry provides the opportunity for anyone to gain healing in their life through God’s grace. No struggle is too insignificant, or too large, for this grace.

Myth #2:  Some struggles are meant to be kept private.

Truth:  Step 5 says, We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. This step requires us to fully disclose our wrongs to somebody else, so that we can receive God’s promise.  James 5:16 says, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” There are guidelines for sharing struggles, such as finding someone you trust to keep what you share confidential. Those of us who have completed Step 5 can attest to the fact that a weight is lifted when a long-kept secret is shared. Recovery is not meant to be done alone! If you are hesitant to share your struggles, pray that the Lord would give you courage to do it.

If you believe either of these two myths about Celebrate Recovery®, we encourage you to put them aside and take the first step to healing! God is waiting to meet you here—see you at 6:00 pm every Monday night in the Filling Station at North Boulevard Church of Christ, 1112 N. Rutherford Blvd., Murfreesboro!
